- One week with parent A, and then one week with parent B.
- The 5-2-2-5 plan, where 5 nights are spent with parent A, then 2 nights with parent B, 2 nights with parent A, and then 5 nights with parent B. This splits up the time evenly between parents.
- Most time is spent with parent A, except every other weekend and one evening visit with parent B.
- The distance plan where parent A spends the school years with the child and parent B spends the summers and holidays with the child.
